1. Used Night Shift with the Celeste+ App
    1. Beginning in August 2025 the Celeste+ app will enable:
      1. Use of either the neck strap or chest belt for position information.
    2. Once configured for the Celeste+ App, a Night Shift device CANNOT:
      1. Be used by patients for long-term therapy.
      2. Interface with the Night Shift portal or Night Shift app to generate compliance reports.
  2. Functionality
    1. A fully charged Night Shift can record up to 3-nights and 12 hours per night with the Celeste+ App.
    2. The Night Shift will indicate the number of nights (3, 2, or 1 night) it can provide positional information before needing to be recharged
      1. When it is turned on, the Night Shift will vibrate 3, 2 or 1 time.
      2. The green LED will blink 3, 2 or 1 time for the first 5-minutes and then be a steady dimmed green.
    3. Night Shift LED blink patterns:
      1. When connected to the Celeste+ app:
        1. Bright green
        2. Dimmed green 5 minutes after the start of acquisition
      2. When it needs to be recharged:
        1. Amber blink every second plus vibration once every 5 seconds
      3. While charging:
        1. Steady green
        2. Off – when charging has completed
      4. The Night Shift can be recharged in 2 hours with USB C connector.
  3. Site Selection – Neck vs. Chest
    1. Detection of the supine position causing the airway to collapse is best measured at the neck.
    2. The accuracy of detected supine position versus video confirmation of the supine position is Neck r = 0.93, chest r = 0.78 (see Figure 3).
    3. 40% of participants reported needing to move their chest strap back to the correct position.
    4. 6.5% of participants were identified with supine positional OSA using a head-based sensor that were not detected using a trunk-based sensor.

  5. Using the Chest Belt

      1. Affix the Night Shift to the Chest Belt.
      2. Use the Celeste+ App to change the setting from Neck Strap to Chest Belt.
      3. Adjust the Chest Belt so it remains centered during the night. The Chest Belt is designed to be worn over a shirt or other nightwear.
    2. Attach the Chest Belt Extension when needed, i.e., the chest measurement where the belt is worn is >48 inches. The Chest Belt Extension enables the belt to be worn by those with chest sizes up to 68 inches.
  6. Cleaning
    1. Detach the neck straps / chest belt from the device.
    2. Night Shift Device
      1. Wipe all surface areas of the device enclosure with a 70% isopropyl alcohol wipe. All surface areas should remain wet for at least 15 seconds.
      2. Using a new alcohol wipe, repeat the cleaning; allow to remain wet for 15 seconds. If any visible soil remains, repeat as needed. Allow to air-dry.
    3. Neck Strap / Chest Belt
      1. Wash each strap / chest belt separately by submerging in solution of 1 teaspoon (5 ml) of mild dish detergent (e.g. Dawn) per gallon (4 liters) of water.
      2. Agitate slightly for one to two minutes.
      3. Rinse with clear warm tap water for one minute.
      4. Dry with a clean paper towel. Ensure the straps / chest belt are completely dry before use.
  7. Warranty
    1. Use this registration page to register each device

      1. Common failure not covered by warranty – pulling on the magnetic clasps to release, causing the silicone to fail
    3. Chest strap – 6 months
      1. Typical useful life >12 months
    4. Battery – 12-months
      1. Typical useful life 3+ years
      2. Identified when recharged device won’t support 3 nights with typical feedback time
      3. Failure rates increase if device sits for > 3 months without charging
    5. PCB electronic components within enclosure – 24-months
